A week already?? I'm so mature...

Its been one week already and we feel like we have been together forever! Its been an adventurous week of pub crawling, visitors and getting used to sleeping in segments. Big sister Fergie is taking on her role well and follows Poppy around the house....

Poppy - the first days

The first few days have been quite a whirlwind...but we are all settling in well and enjoying all the love and visitors. Poppy has integrated well into her family and has already been on her first shopping trip and to the pub twice with Grandpa Paul and Grandma Bubbles!

Welcome Poppy Brial!! Born March 12, 2011

We are overjoyed to welcome Poppy Aurora Brial to our family...
she is just gorgeus.After 12 short hours of labour she arrived
at 4:14am on March 12th, 2011, weighing in at 7lbs.
The whole family came home last night and are settling in.

We are so grateful to the amazing staff at BCW, our midwives and especially Auntie Michele and Stiffy who were there to support us (and even Blair who couldnt handle the anticipation and stayed all night)! We couldn't have done it without you!

40 weeks and 6 days overdue!

Just before we left for the airport to pick up the Aussie grandparents we took this picture, little did we know less than 24hours later

Week 39 - almost there!

Fergie is waiting the arrival of her new brother or sister very patiently and getting as much time at the park as she can! As for the rest of us, we are still waiting but not so patiently!!

38 weeks and patiently waiting!

Nikkers finished work on Friday and now we are patiently
awaiting the bun to make its appearance!!

37 weeks and 5 days!! We are ready to meet the Bun!

We are definitley ready to meet this baby! Nikkers is feeling great and still managing to get out and coach rugby, but we are both getting extremely excited to meet this little person and see who they are!

This will be nik's last week of work - hopefully the baby will come or she may be a little stir crazy. The weather in Van has been gorgeous and sunny with a bit of a chill in the air, but spring is on its way! Who knows maybe next week we will have baby pictures!

36 weeks and a last chance baby booze up!

In lieu of a shower the girls threw us a rocking party, probably our last as non parents!! Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate the impending arrival of the BUN (especially Stiffy, Gorat and Gibby - we love you!!)!

35 weeks - Rugby starts again!

Fergie and I are showing our team colors...although I cant play, I am coaching and trying not to get too excited from the sidelines!!

34 weeks and the count down is on!

We are getting very excited to meet the Bun!
The room is already to go and the bags are packed for the hospital.....

33 Weeks - The Bun is already styling!

32 Weeks - A large Jicama?

We didn't realize until it was too late, but we forgot to take a picture this week! We have been occupied with getting everything ready to go and Nikkers spent the weekend away on her last girls trip before becoming a new mom!

Apparently this week the bun is the size of a large Jicama...

31 weeks - Immortalizing the belly!

The countdown is definitely on and we are so excited to meet this little person!

30 weeks - Happy New Year!

We are both looking forward to what this year has to bring.

29 weeks - Merry Christmas!

Our last christmas as a child-less family!
It was a great day spent with our Vancouver family, lots of food and cheer!
